Sit n’ Go

Playing Sit n’ Go Poker Games

One of the most efficient ways to earn cash while playing poker is the Sit and Go way. But there are three different ways or stages which one has to learn and master to become a very efficient and profitable player.

3 Stages of Sit n’ Go

STAGE 1: The early stage is when you would begin the Sit and Go method and the game is at the third blind. On the table, there would be 9 to 10 people and if it is a low buy-in table, you would see that one or two players have gone all in. it is unpredictable in poker games and its best to resist temptation so early in the game. If one has bad cards and has called the blinds then he/she has either thrown his/her chips away or would have to put more chips in. It’s better to analyze what others are doing and analyze it as they can give you pointers upon people who keep on betting or are simply pushed out etc. You can play hands if you have good pairs like KK, AK or AA and as you have a large stack because of it being the early stage, then you should bet large to subdue the players who have average or below average hands. After surviving the first three blinds, you are ready to advance to next stage. Large stack isn’t crucial for the next stage but it’s nice if you have it.

STAGE 2: In this middle stage, the players would be about 6-7 and the blinds would be amid fourth to sixth. Here, you cannot make bets as large as the ones you were making earlier as the blinds alone would be eating a large amount of your cash. The notes taken earlier can come to help now as you can bluff against the person who gets pushed easily even if you don’t have a good hand. If you are playing against a short stacked person with for e.g. AA, then you can just check or call the other person’s bet and take advantage when that person goes all in. So, slow playing would be very crucial in this stage of the play and would help you to stack and prepare you for later stages.

STAGE 3: In the last stages the players left would be about five. One has to be aggressive in this stage as the blinds would be important and players would play conservatively and would fold most bets, so you can keep the blinds by aggressive thinking. One has to be careful as some players take benefits from people trying to be aggressive and eventually take their hand. If you have a very good hand like AA and are across another player playing aggressively then you must check or call the other person’s bet. You can even raise his/her call as he/she has already put a lot in the pot and would definitely try to win it. This way you can win this big hand.
